POKHARA, June 3: Focusing on students looking for higher education abroad, ECAN (Educational Consultancies Association Nepal) is hosting ECAN Higher Education and Career Fair in Pokhara from Friday.
Organized jointly by Direction Nepal in Kathmandu and Biz Solution in Pokhara, the event is scheduled to take place at the exhibition center in Naya Bazaar, Pokhara. The three-day-long fair will see participation of over 60 colleges and organizations. The organizers hope the turnout will be at least 50,000.
In the event, over two dozen educational consultancies under ECAN will take part, according to Pashupati Khatri, the coordinator of the fair.
"The prime objective of this fair is to make students and families aware about the educational institutions situated both in Nepal and elsewhere," Khatri said. During the fair the organizers and ECAN will jointly put effort to provide all information regarding studies abroad to students and parents.
The organizers claim that this fair will help students choose the right educational institutions so as to shape a better future for them. Manish Kansakar of Direction Nepal said, "Such educational fair will help produce better manpower for Nepal."
Kansakar added that the fair will not only focus on higher education abroad, the participation of Nepali colleges and universities is no less. After the completion of the fair in Pokhara, the fair is all set to hit Kathmandu on 10-13 June and then Narayanghat on June 17-19.
